Forge and Equip operates as a social enterprise. We are a non-profit organisation which means we can trade commercially through fabrication work and training sessions while reinvesting income into creating opportunities for people facing barriers to employment, education or training.

Forge and Equip is largely dependent on funding from generous individual donors, charities, businesses and sometimes other grant funding. We combine earned income from fabrication work and paid workshops with this charitable funding. This mixed approach helps us create accessible opportunities for people who may otherwise struggle to access training or employment.

Our workshop is based on the edge of East Linton but we carry our fabrications and repairs all over Edinburgh and the Lothians. We can facilitate training and workshops in other places on request.
